Deer Valley Ski Vacation

Friday, March 27th, 2009

When you take a ski vacation to Deer Valley it’s more often that not that you’ll wish you would have booked more days when it comes time to leave. Regardless of if you wanted sunny and got stormy or perhaps you were hopeful for powder and got perfect corduroy, a vacation to Deer Valley is something you’ll treasure forever.

And if you’re like Buck and his friends (one of the many Utah Vacation Homes guests who stayed with us this winter) and make it to the top of Bald Mountain at Deer Valley, you too may get one of those rare and beautiful days when you’re above the clouds and the sun is shining.

Thanks Buck for staying with us at Utah Vacation Homes! We’re glad to hear that your Deer Valley ski vacation was memorable.

Send us your photos!

If you’ve stayed with Utah Vacation Homes in the past we’d love to see your photos and to feature them here on the blog. E-mail us the images along with anything memorable about your vacation and we’ll feature it here.   Send the images to – info@UtahVacationHomes.com

Tour of Utah Cycling Race Dates Announced

Friday, March 13th, 2009

The Tour of Utah, undoubtedly Utah’s finest cycling race and perhaps the hardest stage race in the United States, recently announced the dates for this years race.  Taking place from August 18-23, 2009 the race is based out of Salt Lake City but the stages aren’t limited to Salt Lake.

With the passing of it’s name sake, Larry H. Miller, the Tour of Utah will surely have Larry in mind as they host some of North Americas top cyclists this coming August.

The race is quite young, having started in 2004 as a local stage race. It has since grown to a 5 stage race with a purse last year at over $75,000.

When you’ve got bikes and other equipment, not to mention the need for a comfortable place to rest and relax after each days’ stage, a hotel just won’t cut it. Renting a home or a condo in Salt Lake for the week is the only way to go.

Getting a condo with a garage (like the Oaks at Wasatch #1 near the mouth of Big Cottonwood and Little Cottonwood Canyons) could mean the difference between prepping your bike in a hotel parking lot or inside.

Utah Vacation Homes is looking forward to the 2009 Tour of Utah cycling race. Here’s something to get you ready.
