Too Early for Snow Dance – I think not!
Tuesday, August 31st, 2010Earlier this month I spoke with one of our owners, who asked if it was too early to start doing a snow dance. To me the answer is always “no”. I’ll take snow, at least in the mountains, any time of year. He must have done it because yesterday our mountains received snow. Sure it will probably melt, but it starts cooling the ground in preparation for another great ski season.
Speaking of preparation while all the resorts are preparing for the ski season The Canyons, or Canyons as I should now call it, is really preparing and has made significant changes for the 2010/2011 ski season. In addition to the name change Canyons has added a state-of-the-art chair lift. It’s the first of its kind in North America. I’m sure this will be a great improvement for you fair weather folks – the seats are heated and they have an orange dome that covers the top portion to keep you toasty. Not only will it keep you warm, but it will allow you to get to the top of the mountain in just 9 minutes. Canyons will also open an additional 300 acres of skiable terrain. And that’s not all check out Canyons for more details.
