Fall Getaway in Park City at Deer Lake Village #3

Friday, November 4th, 2011

I spent a weekend this fall at the beautiful Deer Lake Village #3 in Park City. I was up there with a small group of friends and we had a blast. This home has the perfect lodging  location  for anyone who wants to be close to Main Street but doesn’t want to stay in the crowded, noisy Old Town area. When I got there on Friday night I had a great time preparing dinner in the fantastic chef’s kitchen. Everything I needed to make lasagna from scratch was available, making the dinner process go without a hitch. After dinner we sat outside and enjoyed the views of Deer Valley from the hot tub. We chose the perfect time of year to come out, we saw a myriad of colors as the fall leaves were starting to turn. After relaxing in the hot tub we sat around the fireplace and talked about how nice the vacation home was. What is great about the fireplace is while it is wood burning there is a gas lighter making it convenient to get a fire started. The next night we spent on Park City’s Main Street exploring all of the sights. From the home we only had to drive about 3 or 4 minutes to get to the heart of Main. Once we were done with the noise, we got back to the home and slept in the super comfortable beds. Overall we all had a fantastic time and I hope to go back for ski season, with it being on the Deer Valley shuttle route it would make ski access  at one of the top rated resorts so easy.

Dining In at Deer Lake Village Vacation Home (Deer Valley)

Tuesday, November 16th, 2010

Why not capitalize on a good situation? For example, during our couple’s vacation at Deer Lake Village #1 in Lower Deer Valley, we took advantage of the fully equipped kitchen. On our way to Deer Valley, we stopped at one of Park City’s three grocery stores to stock up. Dinner took longer than planned to prepare, but only because we were distracted with good company and lots of laughter. We must have sat the dining table for hours, only before moving to the adjacent living room for dessert and hours more of good times with good friends. Money can’t buy memories, but the money that we saved by dining in sure can buy a lot of other things!

Deer Lake Village #2 – recent upgrades

Thursday, October 8th, 2009

Deer Lake Village #2 isn’t technically new to Utah Vacation Homes but it has a new owner who has made some improvements making it available to larger groups.  The features our guests have come to love such as outdoor hot tub, views, two master suites, Deer Valley location, etc are still available, however we think you’ll enjoy the improvements that have been made.

Until summer 2009 Deer Lake Village #2 accommodated 10, with new bedding and sofa’s it now accommodates 12.  Each of the two master bedrooms have a king bed which makes it great for two families.  The third bedroom has a queen and bunk bed (two twins) and the fourth is more of a sleeping den with a queen sofa sleeper.  The loft now has two twins rather than a sofa sleeper.

Another highlight, which will be especially popular for summer guests, is the addition of air conditioning.
